Jarrad Grandy is the Executive Director of Student Services at Oakland Schools where he has developed countywide career readiness systems and initiatives. Jarrad’s background includes teaching social studies and holding various administrative roles. Before joining Oakland Schools, Jarrad worked at Kent ISD and Kentwood Public Schools, where he focused on career readiness and educational leadership.

He holds a Master’s in General Education with an emphasis on Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science from Michigan State University.

Jarrad is passionate about connecting employers with educators and students to create relevant and impactful learning experiences. He believes relevance is key to deep learning, which cannot be achieved without active community involvement. By partnering with educators, Jarrad sees employers playing a critical role in preparing students for career success while addressing workforce needs.
