Meet Our Leaders
See what excites us about coming to work every day.
I have the genuine privilege of working alongside some of my favorite people in life. In a job, you quickly realize that everything else is icing on the proverbial cake when you’re surrounded by the best-of-the-best. Passion, motivation, talent, work ethic – this team has it all and I am indebted to every one of them. That each team member has chosen to devote their energies and talents to changing young peoples’ lives – it doesn’t get much better.
“The team, the team, the team.” – Bo Shembechler
SENIOR Director of ENGAGEMENT
As a Veteran, I found transitioning from the Army to a civilian career very challenging despite having a bachelor’s degree and years of relevant experience. My transition from the military allowed me to experience a small piece of the frustrations that many of our young people experience every day. Being a part of the Youth Solutions organization helps me keep this experience in perspective. Knowing that our teams make a difference in the lives of youth everyday is extremely satisfying.
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and the learning from failure.” – General Colin Powell
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
What a very exciting honor and privilege to be a member of the Youth Solutions team! Much of my career and life’s work has been spent working with youth and other individuals in education and human services as they seek to improve their lives. To have the unique opportunity to do this work across the state is absolutely incredible!
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
REGIONAL PROGRAM MANAGER
I passionately believe if we are going to bring positive social change to our communities we must begin by being role models and mentors to our youth. It is my honor to spend each day working with people who believe we can make a difference. The work we do is so important to the future of our youth, our communities, our schools, and our country.
“We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” – William Shakespeare
Operations and Training Supervisor
My life’s calling is in education and working with youth. I have to be part of an organization that values children from underserved communities and is committed to improving their lives. Although newer to the company, I love being part of a team that is solutions focused. We know there is tremendous need in our education system, and we focus our time, energy, and resources on fixing those problems – one child at a time.
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.” – Malala Yousafzai
Vice President of Finance, Kinexus
Solving the challenges of our communities means investing in the future and thinking long-term. As Michigan strives to fill the workforce gaps left by our retiring workforce, it becomes all-the-more-clear that investing in young people is the solution for long-term prosperity. I’m proud to work with an organization that’s in it for the long haul and committed to our future.
“Leaders think and talk about the solutions. Followers think and talk about the problems.” – Brian Tracy
It is so exciting and heartwarming to be a part of this organization. Each and every day we have youth at the forefront of our decisions as we expand youth services across the state. It’s a great feeling to be part of a company that walks the walk and genuinely wants a better future for our young people.
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” – Maya Angelou
