BENTON HARBOR — Tori Daniel was extremely shy before joining the Jobs for Michigan Graduates program at Benton Harbor High School.
She didn’t like talking to people and could barely say her name in front of a room full of people. All that changed when she joined the JMG program four years ago.
“I know what I want to do now and am more open to people,” Daniel said.
Daniel was among dozens of Benton Harbor students who gathered at the school’s Performing Arts Center on Friday for JMG’s Initiation and Installation Ceremony.
The I&I Ceremony served as a formal introduction that gave student members the opportunity to make a public declaration of their willingness to belong to the program.
